Site Visit – Magnesium Oxide Building Products in Action

FloorPlan_GeorgesTrailer

Visit a trailer and a home featuring an ancient, natural, “breathable” material

Saturday, January 24, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm ~ All are welcome
107 Concord Circle, Austin, Texas, 78737

Building biologist George Swanson hosts a visit to two of his projects demonstrating the many uses of natural products made with Magnesium Oxide (MgO). MgO imparts resistance to mold, fire and water. The 1300 square foot trailer is designed for the superior indoor air quality required by those with multiple chemical sensitivities. (Which means it is better for all of us!) The adjacent house features MgO siding, both for its excellent properties and its cost savings over fiber-cement siding such as Hardie panel.

Fee: A suggested donation at the site of $5/person will be greatly appreciated. Design~Build~Live is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and your donations help us continue to bring you natural building events.

Parking: The site is located across the street from the public swimming pool at the Radiance community. Park in front of the trailer in the open field, across the street at the pool, or on the street between the two driveways at 107 Concord Circle.
